Beer lovers of the Lower Mainland can now enjoy a brewery tour like no other.
Brewers Row is making Port Moody’s Murray Street the place to be. Only a few minutes’ walk from the Port Moody Skytrain Station, thanks to the Evergreen expansion, ease of access is no concern.
Yellow Dog debuted as the first craft brewery in Port Moody and was the original on the block. Family run and locally adored; Yellow Dog provides their drinkers with unfiltered bold flavours, not to mention a selection to suit all tastes. Yellow Dogs own ladies were featured at the 2017 Siris Cask Festival.
Side note, make certain their Coconut Porter is accompanying your next flight.
Like the beer, the lay out and decor of Moody Ales tasting room is quirky and chic. Two friends, Adam Crandall and Dan Helmer, collaborated efforts introduced BC to the iconic flavors of the Tricity area. Now with summer on its way, the latest brew Lemon Matcha Saison is sure to be a hit.
Twin Sails Brewery; twin brothers Clay and Cody Allmin are focused on creating great tasting, German inspired beer. Popular selections range from their Pilsner: golden drops of heavenly hops. Be even more daring and go for their Str8 Flexin’, this strong mother of an Imperial Stout sits at 11% and if the alcohol content doesn’t knock you out the chocolately coffee flavours will.
Ready for some more local talent?
Opening their doors in 2016 The Parkside Brewery was the final addition to Brewers Rows. Simplistic warehouse themed décor, not to mention a great range of unique brews. Plus like Yellow Dog, there’s also a outdoor sitting area; sit back with a cold Unsmoked Porter and enjoy the good vibes.
Along the way, be sure to graze the other local offerings. Like Salumist, close to Moody Ales, offers an assortment of artisan salami in take out boxes and cheese packs. Other residents like Cobbs Bread along with a rotation of popular food trucks, come together ensuring all walking the strip stay well fed.
Brewers Row is a collection of small businesses thriving on their cooperative efforts. From the industrialized streets of the warehouse district to the latest trend for local beer lovers. Brewers Row is a great introduction into the tasting room world, craft beers and local delights.
